Born and raised in Klamath Falls, I grew up surrounded by art. From a very young age, I was always doodling and sketching, often getting in trouble for drawing instead of doing my schoolwork. Some of my favorite memories are learning how to paint with my grandma, who remains one of my biggest inspirations.
After spending several years managing a liquor store, my future plans began to change, and I found myself unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. Encouragement from a few good friends led me back to college, where I pursued my BA in Graphic Design. Toward the end of my degree, life decided to get interesting. I was splitting my time between running the liquor store, working as an undergraduate designer for a local sign shop, falling in love with my now wife, and finishing my final term of school.
At the time, my wife had a two year old daughter who couldn’t pronounce my name; it came out as “Ducky.” The name stuck, with family and friends fully embracing it. Ducky eventually turned into Dad, but the name never quite let go of me. “Ducky Design” had an amazing ring to it.
Established in 2021, Ducky Design began as a freelance business. In 2022, with the help of an incredible person, I opened my own operation specializing in vehicle wraps and graphics. But after eight years in the sign industry, it wasn’t something I could easily walk away from. In 2023, the business was rebranded as Ducky Design and Sign. Since earning the name Ducky and making that little girl my daughter, my wife and I welcomed another daughter in 2019, completing our amazing family. In 2025, I celebrated 10 years as a designer and in the sign industry. Ten years in, but still learning, still growing, and still pushing my art, my style, and my creativity to the next level.
